Writin' on the Wall...

The other night Laela was practicing her letter sounds in the bathtub. She said she wanted to write mom, so I gave her the sounds and she wrote what she heard. Pretty good if you ask me! Then, she spelled 'dad, Brandt, Jana, and dog.' (Notice that Jana is spelled 'J-A-N-U' but it IS spelled how it sounds.) :)On Friday, Laela came to my school to play at the "big school" park and OF COURSE she made herself at home in my classroom. (She even stepped into a few other classrooms and took a look around.) Well...the giant whiteboard is by far the best part about my room! The funny part...she pulled up a chair. Picked up a marker. Then sounded out...TABLE! WHAT? That child is crazy. Why table? Heck...how did she know how to spell that? Ro and I both did a double take, looked at each other and LAUGHED OUTLOUD!

That girl makes my heart HAPPY when she is in the classroom!!! Love her to pieces!
