18 Month Wellness Visit...

Laela's 18 month stats:
Weight: 29.2 lbs (94%)
Length: 33.5 in (91%)
Head cir: 19.5 in (98%)

We were not surprised by any of these stats. We see her growing everyday. Actually, she has only gained 2 lbs in 3 months and she has grown 2 inches in length. Everyday I feel like she gets taller. Just this morning, her Nanna asked if she got taller last night while she was sleeping. SERIOUSLY! She seems like such a big girl these days. The doctor asked us many questions about what she is doing. Kicking a ball, running, talking, etc. She seems to have advanced social/verbal skills, so that is great! We were a little concerned about her eating habits still, but the doctor said she is fine. She will need to continue to try many types of table foods, with options given at each meal. Also, her spoon/fork use will continue to improve and be independent by 2 years old. Also, we are making the switch to 2% milk because she really doesn't need whole milk right now. As you saw from her stats, she is healthy enough.. This is the cheesy smile her daddy taught her when they were at Home Depot today. Super silly, huh? Right after this, 2 nurses came in to give her the Hep A and HIB shot. Oh man! No matter how much fat is on her thighs (and she has plenty to share) she was still pissed off! She stuck out her bottom lip and the tears were flowing.

She was just fine when we left and went to Target to grab a few things and then home to make King Ranch Chicken. YUMM-O!
