1 week old...

It is hard to believe that Laela is already 1 week old! We have experienced so much in so little time. Laela has shown us so many facial expressions and continues to ooooh and ahhhh her mommy and daddy. She loves to sleep during the day but night sleeping is still a work in progress.

Her first doctors appointment was yesterday where the nurses and doctors poked and prodded her. She weighed in at 6 pounds, 11 ounces (3.05 kg for our UK audience) and was still 20"(.508 meters) long. She is 1/3 her dad's height. Hopefully, she takes after her mom's height.

We had a photographer come to the house today and I can't wait to see how they turn out! It was quite an adventure as Laela started out the session screaming. Then she was hungry and wide awake for about 5 minutes. She was fast asleep making for some awesome naked baby pictures!

Well...before the photographer showed up, Brooke and I played with her a little. This is what we got.
