Week 1 - 29...

Well...we are a little late getting started on the blog, but we can fill you in! Around Thanksgiving we used 2 at home pregnancy tests and each said "positive." We estimated about 6 weeks, so we went to the doctor to confirm. December 11th we saw our little bean dancing around and found out Kelli was actually closer to 12 weeks! Man time flies! The first trimester was almost over and Kelli had no morning sickness...just SUPER tired!

At 20 weeks, February 5th, we went in for our 2nd sonogram. We heard the heart beat again and witnessed our first case of the hiccups. We are having a GIRL! Week 22...The baby was "official" so Ro decided it was time to trade in Lucille for a more baby friendly car. He had these requirements when he went to look: used, 4 doors, and fast. Here is what he ended up with...

Week 23...It was time to register! Kelli had been waiting and waiting for this day! She loves to shop, but we were not exactly sure what to get. Thank goodness Kim and Jana just had little ones and they could help out. Each of them sent us a list of helpful items. Oh man! This really helped out. We combined the lists and hit the stores. We had a great time finding stuff for Baby Girl Murthy!

Week 24 - 27...Now we can really get started on everything. There were several cribs we liked, but finally found one we loved. Also, pink and chocolate dots and stripes would be the winner for our baby girl's room! During Spring Break, we worked hard to paint and setup the baby room. Here is how it turned out...
Week 28...We had a our last 4 week doctor visit this week. Ro has been such a great support and joins me at each of the appointments. Kelli's glucose test turned out great, as well as all of the other bloodwork and baby measurements. The baby's heartbeat was 150. Also, we had our first of 2 Lamaze classes. It was a great experience! Kelli listened and Ro frantically took notes. We learned about the labor process, medicine options, and massage & breathing techniques. Ro even got a short back massage!

Week 29...On most days, Kelli and the baby are great. With the weather being crazy this week, we didn't get a lot of sleep. Then Kelli went to school on Thursday only to find the electricity was out! It turned out to be a pretty stressful day...no lights and no A/C. Thankfully, everything was repaired on Friday but Kelli's doctor told her to stay home all weekend and rest.
